What Is Nick’s Place?

At Nick’s Place For Us, we’re more than just a center – we’re an open community without social or economic barriers. Our mission is simple yet profound: to create a safe haven where youth can explore, learn, and simply be themselves. We proudly declare ourselves an ‘All Welcome Community.’

Our Goal:

We’re passionate about using the arts as a gateway to boundless opportunities. Our aim is to provide mentorships, job readiness training, self-discovery, healing, life skills, and beyond. And guess what? We make all of this accessible to everyone, thanks to our dedicated and caring volunteer team.

Diverse and Endless Possibilities:

While we might kick off with basic visual arts sessions, our programming knows no bounds. We’re all ears – listening keenly to our youth advisory board and the wider community to create programs that cater to identified needs. From educational support to wellness programming, from visual and performing arts to mentorships, our offerings continue to grow.

Not Just Sports:

We get it – not every child is into sports, and that’s absolutely okay! That’s why we’ve diversified our programming to include a wide spectrum of activities. Whether it’s tapping into creativity through art, finding solace in literary arts, or exploring performance arts – we’ve got something for every interest and inclination.

Building a Family:

Here at Nick’s Place For Us, we operate as a family. We prioritize forming genuine connections with our youth. Through hands-on relationship building and mentorship, we get to know each individual personally. This approach helps us understand their needs and guide them toward programs that can shape their present and future positively.
